Moving is always so emotional! Especially such a big move, like this! I wish you and your family all the best. Can't wait to read about the new adventures.
Gosh, these "Goodbye NYC" posts have really yanked my heartstrings. I am a native New Yorker, and have moved from it three times. That balcony photo just captures the mournful feelings I've had every single time I've left, watching those lights fade away. As much as I prefer living where its warm, NYC was my original home. And I could see myself in your minivan, in my own life, traveling all the places you mentioned. Wow, did not expect tears at 3am, reliving those memories!!! Good luck on all the new adventures!
Good luck! These last two posts have me so emotional... We (hubby and I) lived in Bklyn for 20 yrs. and moved out and to the burbs when we became preggo w/ twins. I still get teary thinking about the days leading up to our departure. I look forward to reading about all your new adventures!
Best wishes on your new adventure. Sorry we missed you at Abbey's last Sunday, we will all down for the count with a stomach bug, major bummer to have missed the farewell party! But see you soon hopefully. XO
I remember when I moved away from NYC. When we drove past the skyline, I cried! Six years later, I still wonder what it would feel like to live there again. What a wonderful place.
