Just Like That

What a difference five days make.
On Monday we're witnessing quite the blizzard,
and on Saturday I'm running around the apartment flinging all the windows open
and breathing in Spring.

In between was a brutal round of teething
(fevers, sleepless nights, cranky days, lots of Netflix, and seemingly round-the-clock breastfeeding...hence no blogging!)

Today, the Kiddo has already taken off with his dad for his new favorite activity of the week, attending the Saturday Our Time workshop.  Later his grandmother (T's mom) will be picking him up for lunch and a frolic in Central Park.

As soon as I take advantage of this blissful alone time to take a relaxing shower (you know, one that lasts for maybe longer than five minutes and involves actually shaving my legs and washing my hair!) I plan to take nature's cue and get outside, sit on a park bench in the sun for a while, and perhaps stop by the corner store on the way home to get some flowers for the apartment.

I hope that you have a beautiful, fun, and restorative weekend.  What are your plans?  I'd love to know :)

  1. I used to get online while nursing Lola, but when she was older, like two or so, she would grab and bang the keyboard, so i didn't work so well.

    Glad you are feeling Spring!

  4. I know, it is not crazy how this weather has been. we got 8 inches on Monday and this morning we were out and about with no jackets on. getting muddy, of course, because all the melting snow...

little man is taking a long nap as we played all morning and I am checking up on email and some laundry.

hope the teething is better. poor thing.

  5. We're having fantastic spring weather here in Mississippi, too! (Even though we had SNOW here a week ago!) I did some patio-sitting this afternoon with my pup and it was lovely. Hope you have a fab weekend!

  7. i envy your lovely morning of (hopefully) relaxation. i hope it was as fabulous as you desired it to be. not that i don't love being mommy. it's just that i, too, would like to shower without hearing, "you all done, mommy?" seven million times. anyway ... hang in there with the teething. this too, shall pass. how are you feeling pregnancy-wise?

    xoxo,

  8. We'll have snow and cold today, (I think) but by this weekend, it will be sunshine and fifties.

It's been a week, and I miss the warm spring winds terribly.

  9. How lovely! We had a few days of spring and now we are back to chilly and rainy. Boo.

Speaking of springtime in NY, I am trekking to the City for 5 days at the end of the month. Any suggestions on what to pack?

  12. Our area is confused. There are moths, birds and bees coming out. But then it snowed last week and through everything into confusion. Never looked forward to spring this much!

FYI - I am giving away something special on today's blog. You don't have to do anything to enter except leave a comment. Love, Hot Belly Mama

  13. Girl, I feel ya. Troy is cutting his last teeth, molars. We are up in it over here. The only thing that makes him happy is sleeping right on top of me with his hand tangled in my hair. Not a lot of rest going on for me!

    Enjoy your weekend!

  14. I'm sure you had some lovely alone time!

our plans for this weekend are to finish moving in! yay!

Would you mind saying hi to your dad for me next time you talk?
I would hope he'd remember me, but it was 4 years ago that I left Belhaven! To jarr his memory you could mention my 'pop' art project, a mannequin in huge hot pink shoes. That's hard to forget! :)

    thanks!
